Frequently Asked Questions

Become a child sponsor through Children’s Heritage Foundation, and you can change the future for one child and an entire family!

How does sponsorship work?

When you sponsor a child, your gift will allow that child to receive shelter, health care, education, food, and hope for the future. When your child reaches his or her goal or is unable to continue participating in the program, you’ll be given the opportunity to sponsor a different child. Your contributions are pooled with that of other sponsors in that community to make the most impact. If your circumstances change and you can no longer continue sponsoring, we'll find a new sponsor for your child. Each child has only one sponsor, but you can sponsor more than one child if you wish.

Why sponsor a child through Children’s Heritage Foundation?

Children’s Heritage Foundation is committed to showing God's love through the building of healthy and caring communities for children in the world's most impoverished places. Our child sponsorship program creates real and lasting change for children and their communities. The foundation operates with the highest level of integrity. We carefully evaluate all of the organizations that we support and visit each program at least once each year. Children’s Heritage Foundation also partners with local faith-based organizations to address a broad range of critical community needs to help communities become self-sustaining.

What do you get as a sponsor?

In addition to the great feeling that comes from making a real and lasting difference in the life of a child, you will also help children to discover the immense power of faith and knowledge. You will have the chance to build a relationship with a child and family in another country. You will receive a profile of your sponsor child and a quarterly school progress report. You will also receive a regular newsletter (online or in print) updating you on Children’s Heritage Foundation’s work around the world.

As a child sponsor, you will get a first-hand view of how you are helping to create a better and brighter future for children in need through corresponding with your sponsored child. You can write your sponsored child or even visit them. We offer the opportunity to our sponsors and supporters to join us on a one-week overseas mission trip each summer.

What does it take to sponsor a child?

Sponsoring a child costs only $35 a month. Although a dollar a day may not seem like much to some, it makes a big difference in the life of your sponsored child. Ideally, your sponsorship lasts as long as the foundation is involved where your child lives (usually for many years), but should your situation change, you may cease your sponsorship, and we will do our best to find another sponsor for your child.
