Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa with a population of 32,369,558. Health and education issues are a major problem in this country. Our foundation, is striving to make a difference in the lives of the impoverished children of this desperately poor nation.
- Key Issues:
- Malaria, respiratory infections and diarrhea are the main causes for death of children under the age of 5.
- With a total population of more than 30 million, nearly 2.3 million are children orphaned due to AIDS related deaths. Uganda has the highest proportion of AIDS orphans of any country in the world.
- 60% of the rural population is using improved drinking water sources as of 2006. The Children’s Heritage Foundation is proud to be a part of the rise in improved drinking water projects.

What We Do to Make a Difference:
Children’s Heritage Foundation has partnered with True Vine Ministries in Uganda, in building a local home and school. This new school and boarding facility provides education to more than 800 students. Children’s Heritage Foundation and True Vine Ministries gives these children hope and a chance for a better future.

In addition to supporting the school and home, Children’s Heritage Foundation has provided True Vine Ministries with medication and has also purchased 230 acres of farm land for economic development and food security projects.

Future Projects:
We are currently conducting a fundraising campaign to raise $700,000 to build a health center for the children and other families in the surrounding areas.
